In an effort to find more creative ways to wear my clothes, I’m sharing 4 ways to style a black summer dress. As summer is slowly leaving, I’m also showing a few ways to style this little dress into Fall.
Outfit 1
This first look is all about those hot summer days. I’m wearing this black summer dress and only adding accessories. I’m wearing a pair of tall espadrille wedges, mostly because I prefer heels over flats. However, flat sandals would go perfectly with this outfit. I’m wearing a straw bag, large hoop earrings, and a headscarf.
Outfit 2
For the second outfit, I’m still showing an end of summer or a California Fall vibe. The Fall season doesn’t get too cold in California, so I’m adding a lightweight chambray shirt. When you tie the shirt in a front knot, it changes the look of this black summer dress. In addition, I’m wearing a summer straw hat and a pair of cheetah print espadrilles.
Outfit 3
In this third look, I’m keeping it casual. I’m always a fan of those wardrobe pieces that you can wear casually and dressy. This little summer dress is one of those pieces. I’m wearing a pair of checkered Vans shoes (very Cali), a denim jacket, and a bandana.
Outfit 4
For the fourth outfit, it’s all about Fall, baby. I’m wearing this dress with a classic beige blazer, a pair of heeled boots, and a structured bag. This look is so easy to throw on and is perfect for those slightly chilly days.
Closing Statement
I’m loving this practice of finding different ways to wear the pieces that I already own. So if you have a little black summer dress in your closet, I challenge you to find creative ways to wear it.

Hi! It’s from Zara, but it’s about 4 years old.
