It’s June and summer is upon us. Summer is all about those sunny day vibes, and our outfits will start to have fewer articles of clothing. This can only mean one thing! Your accessories will be playing a major role in your style.
One of my favorite accessories for summer are scarves. Wearing scarves always remind me of those beautiful and romantic leading ladies from old movies. They would always look so chic with their scarf blowing in the wind, always looking so gorgeous. Well, you too can look just as glamorous.
The key factor to wearing scarves this summer is to mix it up how you wear them. What I mean by this is don’t wear your scarf the same way because it will get boring and tired (blunt, I know). So have no fear, I’ve found four easy ways for you to style this silky accessory.
Around Your Neck
Tying a scarf around your neck is a tried and true way to wear your scarf. There are several ways to wear it around your neck. Last year this method became extremely popular and is still going strong. Depending on the scarf, you might have to wrap it a few times or tie it in a simple knot.
Head Wrap
Wrapping a scarf around your head is perfect for summer. It has all of the beachy and boho vibes that are essential for this time of year. Not to mention, it’s great for those bad hair days (ya feel me). Again, so many ways to wear a scarf as a hair accessory. My personal favorite is to fold it, put it on the top of my head, and tie it at the base of my neck.
As a Bracelet
Wearing a scarf as a bracelet or anklet is a bold and fresh way to accessorize. If you’re looking to go outside the norm, this is a great idea. If wearing around your wrist or ankle, make sure that you tie it short enough to not get in your way.
Tied to Your Bag
Tying your scarves to your bags is always fun. It will make your outfit pop and show everyone your impressive fashionista skills. The critical thing to note is to be cautious with your bag and scarf prints. Make sure they compliment each other and aren’t too loud.
Scarves are perfect when traveling as well. They take up only a teeny tiny space in your luggage but can add a huge impact to your outfit. Now you’re ready to take on these upcoming summer months with style. I can’t wait to see the looks that you create with your scarves.
