It’s summer, so now is the time to prep for those beauty essentials. I have 5 beauty products that are a must-have for summer. If you wondering, why these products are for summer, it’s because with summer brings a new beauty routine.
I’m excited to some of these products that I’ve been using, some new and some I’ve been using for years.
1. Supergoop Everyday Sunscreen
I know you’ve heard it before, but sunscreen is a must-have for summer. In fact, I wear it all year round. About 5 months ago, I decided to try Supergoop’s Everyday Sunscreen, and I’ve been wearing it daily since. It’s light and doesn’t smell like I’m wearing sunscreen like some other brands.
2. Kopari Coconut Melt
I don’t know about you, but nothing makes me feel like summer like the smell of coconut. I’ve been working on hydrating my skin, and nothing makes my skin feel as good as after I apply Kopari coconut melt. I’ve only used this product on my skin, but apparently, it’s multi-purpose. You can get this melt in two sizes; there’s a smaller size (it’s $18) if you want to try it out first, which is always my recommendation. I love this product so much, and I ended up buying several Kopari products that I’m currently trying.
3. Coola Liplux
Yes, your lips need some love in the summer as well. I find that as the weather changes, my lips tend to take it the worst. For the summer, I tend to be out in the sun a lot more, which can quickly dry them out. Lately, I’ve been using Coola Liplux SPF 30. It’s not only moisturizing, but it gives me that sun protection that I need. I carry this in my bag and usually apply it under my lipstick.
4. Herbivore After Sun Care Aloe Mist
Its summer, so you will most likely be getting sun. No matter how much you protect yourself, the sun will affect your skin. In the past, I’ve always had a bottle of aloe gel on hand, which ultimately makes a mess. I recently found this Herbivore After Sun Care Aloe Mist, which smells incredible. This aloe mist provides the same relief as the gel, but with no sticky mess. Sign me up! I will be trying more of the Herbivore products, so stay tuned.
5. Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Water
Come on; no summer beauty essential list would be complete without a self-tanner. The Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Water is by far my favorite self-tanner this year. Not only does it not smell like a self-tanner after I apply, but I love that it’s lightweight. I have the “light” and the “medium” product, so it takes a few applications for me to get the right amount of color. True story, my boyfriend hates the smell of self-tanner, but he had no idea I had it on with this product — love, love, love. I might try the “medium” soon.
