I love watching a trend in clothing develop over time. It starts out small with only the trendsetter or fashion innovators and then spreads like wildfire to the general population. One trend that I’m noticing (and loving) is bell sleeves. Bell sleeves are all over Instagram, Pinterest, and in stores right now. I’ve seen the bell sleeve on a ¾ sleeve (as I’m wearing), a long sleeve, and several bells on the sleeve. Now it doesn’t matter where the bell hits on your arm, in fact, it all looks amazing.
I do not jump on every trend that comes around the corner, but I love this one. I find that the bell sleeves gives your outfit more of a romantic look. The sweater is for the most part, simple. However, the bell sleeve gives it a bit more flare (no pun intended) than it would with a traditional sleeve. Another style that has been around for the last couple of years and is still very much alive is over the knee boots (OTK). I have about three pairs of OTK boots which I wear with dresses, skirts, and jeans. What I love about OTK boots is that they are so versatile. I can wear them during the day and at night, which I usually want on the weekends.
I recently bought this bell sleeve sweater from H&M, not only because I loved how it looked on me, however, I loved the bell sleeves. Before I made the purchase, I thought of so many outfits that I can wear with this sweater. This sweater could be coupled nicely with jeans and booties or with dress pants and heels. I chose a more casual yet feminine look for this post because this outfit represented an everyday style that I know I will wear a lot.
These Steve Madden OTK boots have been a part of my wardrobe for about six months now, and I adore them. I can wear them all day running errands or at work (I work in an office). The skirt and boots paired with the denim skirt create a subtle and neutral look. For this reason, I added a pop of color with my handbag from Sole Society and kept my jewelry subtle. I love how this outfit turned out. It’s perfect for luncheons, wine tasting, or a day out shopping.
