This post will be the first of two on styling a denim jumper. I found this jumper at H&M and had to have it. The style is form fitting which was flattering to my shape, which is always a plus, and it has pockets. I love a dress with pockets, it adds a bit of flare and also provides a place for me to put my hands (yes, I’m a hand in pocket kind of gal). The jumper also gave me a nostalgic feeling because the style reminded me of the 70’s and 80’s. I thought of so many different ways that I can style this denim jumper and thought it would be fun to share a few with you all.
First of all, denim is so versatile you can wear it with practically everything. Second, I can wear this jumper throughout the year. For this post, I’m showing a more casual version of the jumper. I can wear this look for casual weekend attire, brunches, shopping, and running errands. Having cute dresses like this in my wardrobe provides me with more options to mix and match. If you are creating a capsule wardrobe (only containing staple pieces), this dress would be ideal. A denim jumper is perfect if you’re on a tight budget since you can style it in so many different ways.
In order to keep it simple, I’ve added a little white t-shirt. Any color would match with it, again because it’s denim, the possibilities are endless. Since it’s a casual look, I added my favorite mini backpacks of the summer. The shoes are a 90’s inspired platform. They have the espadrilles (jute), which match the macrame in the backpack. It’s summer so wearing a denim jumper is effortless to wear with tops and sandals. If I was to transition this look into fall, I could pair this dress with a long-sleeve top or sweater. I can wear it with booties or boots. There are so many possibilities with this denim jumper.
One of my favorite concepts of fashion is mix and matching, and this dress is perfect for that. I can’t wait to show you my next post when I style it completely differently. I would love to hear your thoughts, how would you wear this jumper?
