Hey, everyone, we are making Moscow Mules over here! I’m excited to tell you all about this drink because it’s easy to make and it’s delicious. I’m serious there are hardly any ingredients for the Moscow Mule (see ingredients below). It’s also perfect for this summer heat because it’s light and refreshing.
Now the only alcohol in the Moscow Mule is vodka, but I don’t want that to scare you. You can hardly taste the vodka because the ginger beer cuts it nicely. Ginger beer is a non-alcoholic beverage (just be sure to read your label).
You can usually find ginger beer at your grocery store in the same aisle as the soft drinks. In case you are wondering ginger beer is different from ginger ale. Ginger beer is created through a fermentation process whereas ginger ale is ginger flavored soda water. However, both have carbonation.
If you want to give that extra special touch, get brass mugs to serve it in. These are the traditional mugs for the Moscow Mules mainly because they keep the drink nice and cold. And they look cool, right! First, you will want to put ice in your mugs (or glass). Then you will want to pour your favorite vodka (mine is Ketle One) into the mug.
You will want to fill the remaining space with ginger beer, however, leave a bit a room. After that, add the freshly squeezed lime juice and stir. Finally, add a lime slice and mint leaves for garnish. Voila, you have your drink! This drink is that simple!
Moscow Mules are perfect for hot days and BBQs. If you are looking to switch up your drink at your next gathering, try Moscow Mules.
