The Day Date Dress

Everyone needs a “day” date dress. “What kind of dress is that?” you might ask. It’s the dress that you use when you are going to a winery, a wedding, or some event that requires some form of dressing up during the day. Dressing up doesn’t always have to be for nighttime. Some of my favorite dress up days have been during the day. I usually try to make sure I always have a day date dress on hand. This way if an occasion arises at a moments notice, I can always have something in my closet.

As most of you know, life can be busy, and you don’t always have the time to find something. I also don’t want to pay extra for faster shipping if I purchase something online. There is also the case that when you are looking for something specific or a particular occasion, I can never find anything. Does that happen to anyone else? Talk about stress that I just don’t need, right. For this reason, I am always looking for the perfect day date dress. When I find one, I will purchase it even if I don’t have an occasion.

You might be thinking “what if you never have an opportunity to wear it?”. My response to that is, to make one. If you found the perfect day date dress, by all means, create an opportunity to wear it. Get a group of your friends together and go on a day date. Summer is almost upon us (couple weeks away), which is the perfect time to go to a fancy outdoor brunch with your favorite gals.

I found this cute dress from Zara, and I love it. It’s a pretty pale pink with a floral and bird pattern that goes nicely with my fair skin. The empire waist and off the shoulder lends to a more bohemian vibe. This dress is also great if you have skipped the gym and want to hide your midsection (my real life scenario). I’ve paired this outfit with a rose gold clutch and a pair of nude espadrilles, in order to have a more casual look. However, this dress could be dressed up with a quick change of the shoes and bag.

Since I am always looking for the perfect day date dress, I have found a few other styles that I love right now. After all, summer is approaching, and it’s the perfect time for a lovely dress.
