It’s my Fall Trends 2019 report. Fall is here, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s by far my most favorite season. I love the chill in the air and the way the leaves change. Also, it’s my favorite season for fashion. Now, I know it’s kind of late, but these articles do take me months of research so I can bring you a snippet of trends.
So I’ve done my research on the upcoming fall 2019 trends and now it’s time to share it with you all so that you could make sure that you’re ready. As per usual with my seasonal trend posts, I’m dividing it up into categories.
Fabrics & Prints
Classic Plaid, Dark Florals, Animal Print, and Faux Leather
When you think about fall, you always think plaids. This year is no different. Plaid prints are showing up in blazers, skirts, pants, and suits. So if you bought that plaid blazer last year, time to bring it back out. Dark floral prints are also in high demand. Mostly in dresses and blouses. Check out my latest trend report (here) where I go into more detail.
Faux leather is also on-trend for fall. I’m not just talking about your traditional skirt or pants, but head to toe faux leather. If you’ve been buying animal print pieces for the past couple of seasons, you can breathe easy. Animal prints are still going strong (and almost seem invincible at this point), especially in snake and mock croc.
Colors & Shades
Shades of Green, Bright Statement Pieces, and Metallics
Coming in hot from spring, beige and neutrals are still going strong. All earthy tones, greens such as pistachio, all shades of purple, neon, and bright colors are all on-trend for this fall. What’s unique about this fall is that they are all often worn in a monochromatic fashion. Metallics and shiny fabrics are showing in clothing and accessories. Metallics can be worn as a neutral.
Wardrobe Pieces
Utility Pants, Small Statement Bags, Tailored Classics, and Ladylike Pieces
Since I will be posting more articles on fall 2019 must-haves, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at some of the wardrobe items that I’ve seen on the fall 2019 runways.
The utility look that I reported back in spring (here) is still trending. If you remember cargo pants from the late 90s and early 2000s, well they are back (even in camo print). Tailored and preppy classics such as blazers, trousers, and suits are always in high demand for fall, this year is no different.
If you’re looking for this season’s handbag, go for a small statement bag (similar here). Those bags will go perfectly with your ladylike pieces, which include both sheer and lacey tops, dresses, and accessories. Blouses with ties at the neck are also in high demand.
Closing Statement
This trend report is just a highlight was what this fall season is all about. I can’t wait to start sharing more pieces on fall trends and must-have items. What’s your favorite fall trend?
