Getting “dolled up” to go out to dinner or drinks with friends is one of my favorite pastimes. This gold pleated skirt, is perfect for such occasions. The gold pleats lay against the body nicely hence creating beautiful lines and shapes. In particular, the color is what I love most about this skirt, and it is so much fun and vibrant.
I went with an elegant look by pairing the skirt with a black off the shoulder top, and strappy suede heeled sandals. I chose a crop top so show off the black waistline of the shirt and create a separation of the gold pleats in the skirt and black top, as a result highlighting a lovely color contrast. The black suede strappy shoes make the outfit more dressy and are simple enough thus not distracting from the skirt. This outfit is perfect for a dinner out or any of my upcoming parties.
There are so many other ways to wear this skirt as well. I have paired the skirt with a graphic tee, a leather jacket, and some booties thus getting a more casual look. Also, I have coupled the skirt with a black oversized sweater and lace up pumps. There are so many possibilities that you could combine with such a fun gold pleated skirt.
