Fashion and style is an art, which means you are the creator of your looks and have fun with style. The way you dress and look is all about expressing yourself and how you feel. For me being able to have fun with my style and go out of my comfort zone to try new things, has made me more open minded. It’s something that I highly recommend.
Now having fun with your style can mean so many different things for people. So it’s perfectly fine if to “have fun with style” means only adding an accessory, trying out lipstick, wearing a pop of color, or a different color for that matter. I’ve done all of those examples to step out of the box with my style. Only recently, I started wearing bold lipstick. I never used to wear lipstick, but I just decided one day to try it out and voila, I loved it.
It’s also absolutely fine to be bold such as wearing a see through dress (yes, I have done this one) or bright orange pants (also guilty). Again, to have fun with style means go as far as you want to go with your look. One of my favorite things about bigger cities is you see so many people experimenting with style, and it’s absolutely fascinating.
I currently live in a smaller area, so every time I go out, I usually trying something new and exciting with my look. I have a real story for you all. So neck scarves are pretty popular right now, you see them everywhere. When they first became popular, I started wearing them. Oh my goodness, you would have thought that I was from a different planet from the comments I received. “You look, French,” “Are you going to a rodeo,” “What are you wearing.” The reactions were comical. However, I still wear the scarves because I like the way it looks.
It might be scary at times to step out of that comfort zone, but really what have you got to lose? Nothing really! You just need to be confident in yourself (see my post on confidence) and say “this is me!”. If it makes you feel better, start small, see how it feels.
In this post, I went for the bolder “have fun with style” look. I have alway wanted a tulle skirt, so through my usual online shopping sites, I finally found one that suited my look. I absolutely love this skirt, mainly because it is so playful and exciting. I’m wearing it with a cute crop top that is neutral in color so I can keep the focus on the skirt. I’m wearing silver clutch and heels (although a tan or black would have been good here as well). I also went for some extra flare with these exceptional sunglasses. The sunglasses are so big and crazy, I love them, and how they match the skirt. This is me, having fun with style.
So I encourage you all to step out of that comfort zone and try something new. If it’s difficult for you, try dipping a toe in, then a whole foot, and then maybe to your waist. My advice is to have fun with style. I’ve shared my look and a few more similar styles below. I would love to hear how you have had fun with style, so leave a comment and share your experience.
