There are a couple of times a year that I up my beauty prep game, this is one of them. It’s that time of year full of holiday parties, pictures, and seeing those friends and relatives that you haven’t seen in a while. Maybe you’re going to “run into” that ex-boyfriend, and you want him to know what he’s missing. No matter what you’re preparing for this holiday season, you want to make a good impression.

For me, the holidays are a time full of parties and pretty much looking fabulous the majority of the season. In order to reach my full potential in fabulous, there are a couple of ways that I prepare. Today, I’m going to share my beauty prep list with you in hopes that you are now ready to reach your full and fabulous potential.

Beauty Prep List

1. Manage Stress

Stress is at an all-time high during the holidays. Not just from family (see my post on Dealing with Family Stress During the Holidays) but work and overall life can increase stress. If you didn’t know, stress causes aging and wrinkles. So less is better when it comes to stress.

2. Getting a Full Night’s Rest

Sleep is so essential for feeling good and keeping your skin looking energized. Nothing’s worse than being exhausted this time of year. There’s so much going on like parties, shopping, and family events, you always want to feel and look rested. By getting a full night’s sleep, you will keep that fresh look.

3. Retain a Healthy Glow

Even though the sun has gone (for the most part in Cali), I still like to keep that sun-kissed glow. I generally lean towards self-tanners and sometimes get the occasional spray tan. I find that this keeps my skin looking energized throughout the season.

4. Find the Perfect Lip Color

Nothing looks better than a bold lip this time of year. If you want to make a splash at your upcoming holiday parties, definitely try adding a pop of color to your lips. I also find that by adding a tint to your lips, you feel and look a little more put together (even if you’re a little hungover from a holiday party the previous night).

5. Keep a Your Smile White

Holiday parties mean holiday photos, which means that you will want a bright smile.
