New Year’s Eve calls for the perfect party dress. This holiday is one which usually means there will be a party or nightclub that requires you to step up your outfit game. The NYE parties are far more glitzy than your average night out, so your dress is more of a cocktail or party dress.
Now I don’t get to dress up too much, so I tend to go all out on my NYE party dress. Over the past few years, I’ve worn styles from elegant, sexy, cute, and classic. My look will always depend on where I’m going that night and what I will be doing.
If I’m going to be dancing that night, then I will wear a party dress that will allow me to move. However, if I’m going only to be socializing, then my outfit will be more of a cocktail style. Here are some of my favorite NYE party dresses that will inspire you:

In this post, I’m wearing a glamorous metallic dress from Express. This dress has shoulder pads giving it a very 70’s and 80’s party dress style but in a modern way. The deep v-neckline plunges to the upper naval creating a revealing look. This glam gal party dress also has an asymmetrical hemline that allows you to show off those sexy legs. However, I do have one issue with the dress. There is a built-in bodysuit in this dress, which has a full coverage bottom. I would have preferred a thong style bodysuit in order to prevent any seam lines. Other than that, this dress is perfect for an NYE night of excitement.
So whether your night is full of dancing or mingling while drinking champagne (or my personal favorite the French 75), an NYE party dress is a must have this year. Have you found your perfect NYE outfit? Let me know in the comments.
