Everyone has a color that they just can’t get enough of and for me that color is red. If the clothing item, shoes or accessories come in red, then I will want to buy it. It’s not just the very bright version of the color, but any shade. It is ridiculous how many shoes and dresses that I own in red. Even in beauty products such as lipstick and nail polish red. In my opinion, nothing is sexier than red lips or nails. Usually, if I need a pop of color in my wardrobe, that is my go-to color.
When I shop in stores or online, I usually gravitate towards the red items. There are times when I have to talk myself out of purchasing the vibrant color and going with more basic colors such as black or taupe. I can’t have an entire wardrobe composed of red….or can I? I truly think that if this color ever went “out of style,” I would be rocking it proudly.
One of my most recent purchases is this amazing pleated midi skirt from H&M. Of course, the color caught my eye immediately as well as the style of this garment. This skirt is one of those pieces in your wardrobe that when you put it on, you feel fantastic. I love those pieces because it shows confidence while you are wearing it. I paired this with a striped crop top, a dark denim jacket, silver pumps, and a silver clutch.
As always, I have a few other pairing suggestions. I have paired this skirt with a graphic t-shirt and white sneakers for a more casual look. Another captivating idea, perhaps more for an evening look, would be to combine this skirt with a black top and stiletto pumps.
So there you have it, I’m am a sucker for the color red in my wardrobe. If it comes in red, then I am most likely buying it or talking myself into purchasing a more practical color. Usually, I’m buying it. Do you have a favorite color or shade in your wardrobe?
