We’re deep into summer, and the most important skincare product that you should be using is one that includes SPF. Thankfully for you, there are so many options available.
Now, most people just put sunscreen on their face and shoulders, but there are several places that you should be applying sunscreen. If you’re sitting there thinking, “what places,” I got you covered. I’m listing out all of the places you should be applying your SPF.
1. Face
Now, the most common place to apply sunscreen is the face. However, if you don’t like your traditional lotion, there are a couple of different options that you can try. There are light serums such as COOLA Sun Silk Drops, which is lightweight and non-greasy.
Another way to apply sunscreen to your face is with a powder such as Colorscience Sunforgettable Brush-On sunscreen. This product is a mineral powder that can be worn over makeup or by itself. Both of these products not only help with sun protection but with digital exposure.
2. Lips
Yes, your lips need protection too! If you think about it, your lips are just as exposed as your face. Sun exposure can lead to chapped and cracked lips. Adding a product such as COOLA Liplux can moisturize and provide sun protection.
3. Hair
Have you ever had a scalp sunburn? Well, if you have, then you know, it’s the worst. Your scalp starts to peel in giant flakes. Gross, right! Well, I’ve been waiting for years for a product like COOLA Organic Scalp & Hair Mist. It’s protection for your scalp and keeps your hair color lasting longer.
4. Hands
Another area of your body that gets ignored but receives a ton of sun exposure is your hands. If you think about it, your hands are always out in the open getting sun-damaged. Your hands are quicker to age more than most areas of your body. Supergoop! Forever Young Hand Cream is a fantastic product that protects against premature aging. And it’s perfect for carrying in your handbag.
Closing Statements
Although we have about a month and a half of summer, you should be wearing SPF all year round. Each of the items listed above are skincare essentials.
