Our Spring & Summer Trends for 2021 post is live! Today we’re sharing the hot trends for this upcoming spring and summer. If you haven’t checked out our post on Spring’s Color Trends, be sure to check it out here. After one full year of being at home, it’s looking like we’re all ready to get back into fashion.
So if you’re ready, and I know we’re ready, here’s what’s trending for spring and summer 2021.
SS Trends 2021
Color Blocking
To us, color blocking is timeless. But we love the colors this year for SS21 (here), making it a bit more fun to color block.
Wide-Leg/ Oversized Pants
The SS21 runways showed several wide-leg and oversized pants, whether in the form of trousers, printed pants, or denim. Something else to be on the lookout for is low-rise (as every woman over the age of 25 cringes).
Belted
If you’re looking for a great way to add some extra style to your look, belt it. Yes, the belted looks are in for SS21. Adding a belt is a great way to elevate your look, from blazers to jackets to oversized shirts.
Puff/ Balloon Sleeves
If our memory serves us correctly, the puff/balloon sleeve look was trending last spring, too (see here).
Bra & Crop Tops
As the Y2K trends start making their way back into our closets and in come the crop and bra tops. If you want to go full Y2K, pair your crop top with a pair of low-rise baggy pants. As for bra tops, wear them under your favorite blazer for a chic look.
Second Skin Tops
Second-skin tops are tight tops that fit close to the body (hence the name second skin). We see these in all sorts of prints, from tie die, animal to geo prints.
Other Trends
Romantic, Prints, Statement Collars, Balloon Denim, Oversized, & Shiny.
Closing Statement
It looks like this spring/summer might actually have us going back into the world slowly, which means a mix of our leggings/sweatpants and fashion pieces. As always, we don’t recommend that you rush out to buy these items, but determine for yourself if they match your personal style. Then if they do, decide if you want to invest, borrow, or thrift.
