It’s finally here, Summer that is. Do you know what that means?! It means it’s time to bust out the summer dresses and start doing some outdoor activities. I do love Fall and Winter, but by the time Summer rolls around, I’m so ready to go out in the sun with my dresses. So many gorgeous styles of Summer dresses are available right now.
You might ask “what makes a dress a summer dress,” for this, I can only give my opinion. I believe that this dress is lightweight and can easily be wearable in the hot summer heat. It can be any length; mini, midi, and maxi. Summer dresses come in so many styles such as strapless, short sleeves, spaghetti straps, halter, and well there are just so many options.
I also think a summer dress is a dress that makes you feel fabulous when you wear it. Yes, all dresses should make you feel amazing, but there is something a little more refreshing about wearing that summer dress. It should give you confidence and allow you to express yourself. I know what you are thinking “A dress provides you with all that?”. Hell yes, it should. If your dresses do not, we need to get you into the right dress.
Another thing I love about summer is all of the activities that you start doing outside. One of those is attending the local farmer’s market. In California, where I live, we have an abundance of local agriculture. So there are no shortages of farmer’s markets (we have at least 4). I love the assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables that you get at these markets. The quality and tastes supersede that of a grocery store. The flowers are another highlight of farmer’s markets. I’m a sucker for fresh flowers (total chick thing to say *wink). You always get amazing quality when they come from the local farmer’s markets.
The dress that I am wearing in this post is a perfect dress for summer and roaming around the market. It has a sweetheart strapless top with a fit and flare style. The fabric is a stretch jersey knit, so it’s extremely comfortable and breathable. In order to create a more casual look by adding a denim jacket and espadrille wedges. I also love this cute little fruit inspired clutch that I found. Fruit accessories are a hot commodity right now.
To sum it all up, go out and get your perfect summer dress (or two or three) that makes you feel good. You can head out to your outdoor events with confidence and style. If you need any advice on finding that dress, leave a comment below, and we can chat about your style. I’ve also picked out some of my favorites below. Happy Summer!
