Summer is less than a week away, and there are a few must-have summer essentials that are key to add to your shopping list. If you’re anything like me, summer just snuck up on you. No need to fear, I have your summer essential checklist all ready for you.
Summer Essentials Checklist
One-Piece Swimsuit
The first item on my list is a one-piece swimsuit. These suits started gaining popularity again last year and are still trending in full force. If you only get one this summer, it will be worth it. You are sure to be seen as a style trendsetter.
Sunscreen
Sunscreen is the most important item on this list. If there’s one thing that you take away, it should be to wear sunscreen. When purchasing sunscreen, pick an SPF of 45 and above.
Straw Hat
A straw hat is ideal for adding that extra layer of protection as well as added style. There are so many styles such as big floppy hats, fedoras, and western styles. I’ve recently purchased a straw visor, which I’m seeing as currently trending.
Basket Bag
If you haven’t purchased your basket bag by now, you better get on it. These bags are not going anywhere and are a must-have for summer. Check out my post on 10 Must-have Basket Bags.
Summer Dress
This is a no-brainer, right? Of course! The summer dress is an essential part of the season. This item should be on your summer checklist every year.
Summer Scent
Instead of wearing your traditional perfume or signature scent, try for something different for summer. Go for something floral, fruity, or light.
Sunnies
There are a lot of fun sunglasses out there right now. My recommendations are either invest in a single nice pair or buy several cute and inexpensive styles.
A Good Book
Summer reading is a thing! If there’s one time to start a book, it’s during summer. A book will be handy when traveling, laying out in the sun, or just having a lazy day.
Espadrilles
Espadrilles come in all shapes and sizes. Even if you’re not into the high wedges, there are plenty of adorable flat styles available.
Beachy Waves
The ever so popular beachy waves are ideal for summer. Even if you don’t live anywhere around the beach, this low effort look is perfect for a casual style.
Are you excited or what? Get ready for the sunny days and summer fun. Tell me what you would add to this checklist? Please leave a comment and let me know.
