I know, I’m always obsessed with some piece of clothing, but this blouse is right up my alley. Do you remember my Fall 2019 trends article (here)? Of course, you do (insert wink face emoji). Well, blouses with ties at the neck were all over the runway.
Now, why am I obsessed with this top? Well, I’ll tell ya. This blouse is just my style. It has the perfect combination of ’70s and ’80s nostalgia and gives a casual yet sophisticated vibe.
When I first saw this blouse, I was walking by a Banana Republic store. I never really go to that store (mostly because it’s not my style), but this top caught my eye. I’ve been searching the internet for this exact top, but with no luck. Most of the shirts were either not what I was looking for or too expensive (yes, I’m on a budget).
So naturally, I was disappointed with this top was $90. I immediately walked out of the store. Too bad, right. Hell no, I don’t give up that easy. I know there are always sales online, so I went home, and sure enough, that top was on sale for $40. I bought it and had it shipped to the store. Boom!

Closing Statement
Don’t worry if you think this top is only available for a season. This blouse showed up in the Celine Spring 2020 runway shows, which was the inspiration for this look, and a few others I will be putting together. Since I’m minimizing my wardrobe and trying to wear my pieces more, you’ll be seeing more of this top, for sure.
