I’m back with a long-awaited trend report, and this time it’s on the fall trend of dark florals. Florals are always common during the spring and summer months, but usually in lighter shades. As we start to approach fall, the florals are still on-trend, but the colors are darker and moodier.
Dark floral prints were trending for fall last year, and this year is no different. Although I would say fall 2019 is showing floral prints in more bohemian and feminine styles. So in honor of this upcoming fall trend, I wanted to share a few of my favorite dark floral pieces.
Dresses
My favorite pieces for this trend are mostly dresses. Pairing a dark floral dress with a cardigan or denim jacket is perfect for the slight chill in the air. Once we get into boot season, it will be perfect to pair with one of these dresses.
Tops
If you want to add a nice twist on your basic wardrobe. They look perfect paired with jeans or a denim skirt. A floral top adds a bit of feminity to any look.
Skirts
Midi skirts are still on trend this fall season, so if you’re wanting to be on point for fall grab a dark floral one. In early fall, heeled sandals will pair perfectly with this style of skirt. However, as we go into fall pair the skirt with booties or knee-high boots.
Closing Statements
Dark florals create a great transition piece as we edge into the fall season. Florals are traditionally a more feminine look but if you want to add a bit of an edge, pair with a faux leather bottom. If you dare to take the trend to the next level, pair with an animal print jacket or shoes.
