One of the trendiest colors this fall is rust. Yes, those earthy tones are coming in hot. Last year the emergence of mustard yellow (which is still going strong) and this year it’s all about the color rust. This burnt orangey red color started showing up slowly last year but is now in full force.
Typically, I tend to stay away from these earthy tones (which include mustard yellow, olive green, rust, camel, and cognac) but I’m finding myself drawn towards them. To me, this color gives off a retro vibe from the 70’s, which I love.
If you’re not sold, I get it. However, I have found some fantastic fashion pieces that will make you change your mind. One thing to note, rust pairs nicely with leopard which is also trending this fall (Check out my post on Theย 4 Must-have Prints for Fall and the most previous Trend Report: Leopard Print).
