You may have started seeing vests showing up a bit last year; however, they’re in full force this season. And I’m into it. They say fashion always comes back around, so it’s no surprise that the vests that were popular in the 90s and 2000s are back.
Most would say that the vest is a menswear-inspired fashion piece, but ladies have been wearing vests for decades. It really depends on how you style your vest. We all remember the famous style that the character Carrie Bradshaw wore in Sex and the City. You know the white pant and vest combo with the pink shirt and black necktie, so iconic (for a visual, see here).
However, you don’t have to get that dolled up to wear a vest unless you want. There are so many ways to wear a vest in an everyday style if that’s your speed. Vests are a great layering piece as well if you want to add something extra to your outfit. Here are a couple ways that I’ve been styling mine lately.

Now, I haven’t seen vests in many retailers, but here are a few that I found at reasonable prices. You can scroll and click on any of the images to be directed to the retail store.
